Teachers, we’re here to inspire and support your innovative classroom activities. Check out our curated resources below related to Project Based Learning, Design Thinking, and Maker Education. Even if your idea doesn’t have your students making a physical artifact in the makerspace, we can help with project management and student assessment recommendations. If you need help getting started or coming up with a plan, please let me know. I’m here to help.

PROJECT BASED LEARNING
Project Based Learning is a teaching strategy in which students learn by actively engaging in real-world and personally meaningful projects. Projects serve as an infrastructure that allows students to create, experiment, and work with others in pursuit of deeper understanding.

DESIGN THINKING
Design Thinking is a methodology for creative problem solving and innovation. It is an iterative process that teams use to understand problems, challenge assumptions, and create innovative solutions to prototype and test.

MAKER EDUCATION
Maker-centered learning develops students’ awareness through open-ended, multi-disciplinary experiences. “Making” allows for the time and space needed to develop diverse skills, knowledge, and ways of thinking. In maker-centered learning environments, students imagine, design, and create projects that align academic content with hands-on applications.
